Just an easy 45 minute drive from Dahlonega is Gibbs Gardens, 220 acres of artistically landscaped gardens surrounded by majestic forest, spring-fed ponds, streams, waterfalls and bridge crossings. Designed to offer four seasons of color, there are sixteen garden venues. The season kicks off with Daffodils in March, over 20 million. Other highlights include the Manor House Gardens with lush terraces and the Monet Waterlily Gardens with 140 varieties of waterlilies, The Japanese Gardens, feature a collection of Japanese maples and 40 handcrafted lanterns. Ferns, roses, hydrangeas, azaleas, rhododendrons, dogwoods, daylilies and wildflowers are also featured.
