Bring Your Pup & Stay a While!

There are certain towns that just feel right -- vibrant, friendly and outdoorsy.

You can usually tell by the canoes, kayaks and bicycles loaded onto cars going through, the pervasive smell of good coffee, chocolate and barbecue and the distinctive sound of bluegrass music. People are there for a good time, good eats and the good feeling you have when you’re there.

One other tip: look for dogs. It’s a dead giveaway. People who love dogs also seem to be drawn to these wonderful communities.

In this case we’re talking literal hearts, and efforts to keep them beating, which is a cause that’s been adopted by the Leadership Lumpkin Class of 2016. Inspired by efforts of local fire departments, EMTs and rescue squads, an expressed need was made clear that if those services could acquire one or several “LUCAS Devices” more lives could likely be saved now and in the future.
