The Chief Calligrapher at the White House in Washington, DC, is charged with the daunting responsibility of getting the word out – beautifully -- and she will be here in Dahlonega, at Achasta Golf and Country Club on Monday, March 6, to do exactly that, conducting a seminar on her skills and maybe even sharing some of her secrets.

One of the things she will definitely share for those who purchase one of the few remaining tickets – at this writing more than 75 tickets have been sold and the event is approaching a sell-out -- is confirmation of the purchase in professional script. Attendees are being asked to provide their first and last names and the names will be written in calligraphy on place cards.

Blair will provide insights and highlights on her life as president of the Washington Calligraphers Guild in Washington, as well as her most recent -- and current -- stint in the White House, where she is responsible for designing menus, invitations and inscribing guests books for visiting heads of state. Her work has also been published in publications like Martha Stewart Weddings. She is on the faculty of eight international calligraphy conferences.
