If you have several dinners to attend on Thanksgiving Day but would still love to break away from the chaos, there are opportunities to explore downtown Dahlonega the day of and weekend afterwards! The North Georgia Zoo & Petting Farm will be hosting a holiday celebration and live nativity on Friday, November 25. Bring your flashlight and join their guides as they take you on a walk through the zoo under the stars.
Also kicking off the day after Thanksgiving is Dahlonega’s Old Fashioned Christmas. Old Fashioned Christmas is a month-long celebration from November 25 through December 31, 2016, set in motion with the lighting of the square.
