While you have the friends and family together, head on over to Forrest Hills Resort for an early Thanksgiving Day Feast from 12 PM- 5:30 PM. Enjoy all of your holiday favorites and more in their beautiful Rose Garden Dining Room. Feast on roast turkey with giblet gravy, shrimp and grits, glazed pit ham, sweet potato soufflé, and so much more! Click here for more information

For the freshest and most local ingredients, stop by the Dahlonega Farmer’s Market hosted by the Dahlonega Main Street Program & DDA on Tuesday, November 22 from 2 - 6 PM in Hancock Park. Details about the event can be found here.

Not one to stay inside the kitchen all day? Visit Montaluce Winery and Restaurant for their Thanksgiving Day celebration, complete with a four course menu. Let Montaluce do all the cooking so you have the opportunity to spend more time with your loved ones and relax, while enjoying a gorgeous view of our award-winning winery.

Want to try something new this Thanksgiving?

Dahlonega’s Savoring the Square Food Tour offers a unique opportunity to experience both the food and culture of North Georgia. This tour will captivate you with visits to our finest restaurants and tasting rooms.

End the night with a stroll through downtown Dahlonega to admire the beautiful autumn colors and stop by Crimson Moon for some Open Mic, hosted by Jacob Elliott.

Dahlonega's Old Fashioned Christmas

Also kicking off the day after Thanksgiving is Dahlonega’s Old-Fashioned Christmas. Old Fashioned Christmas is a month-long celebration from November 29 through the first week of January, set in motion with the lighting of the square. The Travel Channel agrees, Dahlonega looks straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie!

This year, Dahlonega will have more events than ever before. Enjoy a live nativity, “high tea” Tuesdays, a Christmas Market, holiday concerts, tree decorating, carriage rides, parades, caroling, "A Christmas Story", and more. Enjoy the beauty of Dahlonega’s twinkling Christmas lights and decorations through January 12th. (For more information, visit DahlonegaChristmas.com.)
