1.Start Your Day with Exercise

Start your morning off right and join us for the 7th Annual Firecracker 5K and fun run, beginning at 8AM in the downtown square! The route takes you through scenic downtown Dahlonega, beginning at our newly renovated Dahlonega Gold Museum.

Whether you run to compete or just jog for joy, the Firecracker 5K and fun run is for you!

The event ends by 9:30AM with refreshments, high fives, and an awards ceremony---just in time to enjoy the rest of the day’s events!

2. Admire Stunning Classic Cars

Spend some time at the Dahlonega Car Club Car Show admiring over 150 restored classic cars! The show will take place at the Lumpkin County Library parking lot on East Main Street just off the downtown square, so you'll be near all the day's other exciting festivities.

The car participation fees will benefit the Lumpkin County DARE Program as well as the Lumpkin County Fire Department, so you can support a good cause while you admire the cars and socialize with friends

The event will begin at 10AM and end at 4PM, so you can swing by as it fits your schedule!

3. Relax and Watch the Parade

Take a breather and relax while you watch our annual Fourth of July Parade. Beginning at Memorial Drive, the parade will circle through the historic square, so no matter where you settle to watch you'll have a fantastic view.

The parade will begin around 11AM, and all participants will showcase their hard work and creativity with a patriotic theme. The parade will end around noon, just in time to grab lunch at own of our delicious local restaurants!

4. Enjoy an Evening of Fireworks

Bring your blanket and stake out the perfect spot on the University of North Georgia drill field for our famous fireworks! Known, for being one of the best fireworks displays in North Georgia, our fireworks are sure to dazzle. Lawn chairs are welcome as are well-mannered dogs!
