Hunchback of Notre Dame @ The Holly

A powerful new play is coming to The Holly in downtown Dahlonega. Hunchback of Notre Dame will dig deep to explore "What Makes the Monster and What Makes the Man". This play contains a deep, philosophical message, but still audiences will enjoy a richly entertaining performance with a huge cast. "Hunchback" is setting a new standard for The Holly -- set design and technical aspects of the production are at higher levels than ever before. And the voices, raining down from the rafters will astonish you. We had a chance to interview technical director and production manager Patrick Rose for this blog. Patrick Rose2

Last Weekend to Catch the Little Shop of Horrors at the Historic Holly Theater

It’s a plant! It’s a flower! It’s a mean, green monster from outer space!?

A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi musical, Little Shop of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre-goers for over 30 years and now it hits the stage of Dahlonega’s historic Holly Theater! The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” – after his coworker crush. This R&B carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelbourn, as long as he keeps feeding it – blood. Over time, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out-of-this-world “roots” and intent towards global domination.
