LIVE MUSIC WITH HANNAH THOMAS! ( 9:30 pm )
Hannah Thomas has spent the last year in the car, from Akron, OH, to Greenwich Village in NYC, from Charlotte, NC to Oxford, MS, from Jacksonville, FL to Nashville, TN. Goodbye on Wasted Time calls on Hannah’s country roots and combines it with her many influences. You can hear traces of 90’s alternative, a dash of Indigo Girls and the roots influence of Bonnie Raitt. The first thing you will notice is Thomas’ voice. Grammy winner Shawn Mullins has commented “No Auto-Tune needed on that voice.” Hannah sings songs with the passion of someone twice her years. “Fueled by my love of music, I got back to the roots of why I started writing, not working for commercial success, but writing about things that mattered to me.” Says Thomas. “Roots music is probably the best way to describe her sound. It has vestiges of folk, rock, blues and country; listen carefully and you can hear hints of Zac Brown, the Indigo Girls, Bonnie Raitt, Ann Wilson and even Steven Tyler.” Chuck Yarborough - Cleveland Plain Dealer Music Critic. In fact, most folks in that part of Lumpkin County can out-lie anyone around Dahlonega or Blairsville.

FREE! Forrest Hills Resort will be hosting our first ever Memorial Day Pool Party complete with an inflatable water slide open to our guests and THE PUBLIC! Sunday, May 26th from 1pm-4pm. Enjoy our outdoor pool, inflatable water slide (FREE from 2-4), music, horseshoes, sand volleyball and basketball. We will be having a cookout from 2pm-4pm! We will be serving 2 hotdogs with ALL the fixings , chips, pasta salad and a soda for the small price of $5 per plate.
In addition to our pool party we are also hosting a Western Day. Gold City Corral is located next to our pool area. We have many options to choose from…Cowboy Up – take advantage of this special! You will be able to brush down the horses, give them treats and saddle them up + a 1 hour trail ride all for $59! Cowboy Up starts at 9:30am. Or, we are offering $5 hand led horse rides around our stables.
Take advantage of our family or romantic horse drawn carriage rides through the back roads of North Georgia and/or take a horseback trail ride. Please call to make reservations!
Register to win a horseback ride for 2 for 2 hours. Winner will be drawn Tuesday, May 28th and winner will be contacted by email. Reservations required.
