No one is really sure if Erick Jones was born in the traditional sense, or he merely appeared one day as if poured through a copper pipe from a moonshine still in some dark North Georgia holler, and his music certainly reflects this. Whether performing with the Atlanta based country-rock band American Anodyne , the North Georgia folk group Ugly Cousin, or solo acoustic his narrative storytelling draws upon the trials of small-town life in the south, drunken revelry, and searching for redemption in the era of the "new depression".
