4th of July Event Schedule

The annual 4th of July Celebration in Dahlonega returns with even more family fun this year on Wednesday, July 4th. An all-day celebration begins with the Dahlonega Firecracker 5k/10k and ends with the day’s most anticipated event, the firework diplsay over North Georgia College & State University’s campus. Below please find the schedule of events taking place throughout the downtown Dahlonega Square. For more information, please visit www.dahlonega.org.

7:00 a.m. – Dahlonega Firecracker 5k/10k

8:00 a.m. – Registration for TLC Pet Show in Hancock Park

10:00 a.m. – Community Service Corner in Downtown Dahlonega

10:00 a.m. (until 5:00 p.m.) – Gold City Classic Car Club Show at Courthouse Hill

10:00 a.m. (until 5:00 p.m.) – Kids Fun Zone in Hancock Park

12:00 p.m. – Patriotic Ceremony on the West Lawn of the Gold Museum. Immediately following the ceremony will be the Community Reading of US

2:00 p.m. – Watermelon Eating Contest, sponsored by The Dahlonega Nugget, and hosted by the Boy Scouts in Hancock Park.

3:00 p.m.  – 5:00 p.m.  Appalachian Jam session on the East Lawn of the Gold Museum

5:00 p.m. – Independence Day Parade in Downtown Dahlonega

6:00 p.m. (until they run out) – Hot Dogs for Sale on North Georgia Drill Field

7:00 p.m. – Music and Entertainment on North Georgia Drill Field

At Dark – Spectacular Fireworks Display from the NGC&SU Campus
