AN ITALIAN AFTERNOON AND EVENING AT MONTALUCE

Saturday, September 27 featuring an afternoon tasting of the wines of Italy's Tre Venezie region followed by wine dinner with the renowned wines of Valter Scarbolo and special guest Matt Rosenberg of Atlanta's Avant Partir

DAHLONEGA, GEORGIA--August 26, 2008-- Montaluce Estate and Vineyards is pleased to announce a special Wine University followed by a four-course wine dinner on Saturday, September 27.

In the afternoon, noted wine expert Matt Rosenberg of Avant Partir in Atlanta will join Montaluce as special guest for Wine University to lead discussion and in-depth tasting of the wines of Tre Venezie. The regions of the Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige and Friuli form the Tre Venezie wine region, which ranks with Tuscany and Piedmont as Italy’s most renowned, world-class wine growing regions. The seated tasting is $30 per person and includes delicious food pairings. For guests who reserve space at the wine dinner following, price per person for the tasting is reduced to $15. Reservations are recommended.

After Wine University, Rosenberg will lead guests that evening in special wine dinner featuring the wines of famed Friulian winemaker Valter Scarbolo. Scarbolo is a family-operated winery rooted in the traditions of Friuli. Their wines exemplify the region and guests will have the opportunity to sample varietals including Tocai Friulano, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Montaluce’s Executive Chef Steve Hewins will prepare a special four-course menu to perfectly complement the featured wines. Price per person is $75 for dinner. Reservations are requested.

Montaluce is a new wine country development in the North Georgia Mountains near Dahlonega. Located on 400 rolling acres situated at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains and adjacent to the Chattahoochee National Forest and the Etowah River, Montaluce is a community based on the Italian ideal of "La Vita Bella," or the beautiful life--centered around community, food, wine and sharing. At the heart of the Estate, and at its highest point, the property boasts a state-of-the-art winery that will yield its first grape harvest in fall 2008.

On the winery's main floor, the handsome tasting room and beautiful restaurant Le Vigne offer a place to unwind and enjoy New- and Old-World Italian dishes alongside a thoughtful wine list that includes selections from the United States as well as Italy. In spring 2009, a 63-room hotel will debut and soon thereafter, The Spa at Montaluce will also open its doors creating a true luxury destination only about an hour from Atlanta. Primary and secondary homes and home sites are now available.
