FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 9, 2010 GEORGIA WINE COUNTRY FESTIVAL 2010 ISSUES CALL FOR VENDORS, SPONSORS A call of vendors has been issued for the 9th Annual Georgia Wine Country Festival to be presented the first weekend in June at Three Sisters Vineyards & Winery in Lumpkin County, Ga. The Georgia Wine Country Festival is Three Sisters Vineyards' signature wine/art/music/fun event near the town of Dahlonega. Celebrating nine years in 2010, this is Dahlonega/Lumpkin County's original wine celebration and be held Saturday and Sunday June 5-6. Attendees will sample Georgia wines from various participating wineries and enjoy unique musical entertainment by bluegrass, folk, Americana, and rock & roll musicians from the region. Gold City Corral of Dahlonega will present vineyard wagon rides. Dahlonega's Fudge Factory returns with hand dipped chocolates from the tasting room, and special folk artist guest is John "Cornbread" Anderson. Georgia vendors interested in applying for space should contact Doug Paul at Three Sisters. Past vendors have featured folk art, handmade items, travel and culinary, resorts and accommodations, real estate, local honey, promotional and farm exhibits, and many businesses wishing to promote connection to the active lifestyle of Georgia Wine Country. Food and beverages may be purchased inside from local chef vendors. Silent and live charity auctions will be conducted during the event for the arts and Georgia humanitarian charities. Festival hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and noon-6 p.m. on Sunday. Daily admission is $20 for age 21 & older (includes souvenir wine glass), and $10 is the fee for designated drivers and under 21. Kids under 12 will be admitted for free.
