"Wine Tasting Room Capital of Georgia"
- Georgia's State Senate Resolution 2015
Wine enthusiasts need venture no further than the foothills of the North Georgia mountains to enjoy award-winning wines and breathtaking views. With the highest concentration of wineries, vineyards, and tasting rooms in the state, Dahlonega is known as the Heart of Georgia Wine Country and the Wine Tasting Room Capital of Georgia. Home to 12 wine tasting rooms and five wineries, Dahlonega offers a variety of quality and award-winning local, regional, and international wines to locals and visitors from all over the world.
Dahlonega’s acclaimed North Georgia wineries and vineyards offer homegrown hospitality and premier wine and food experiences, each with their own unique draw. Dahlonega-Lumpkin County’s favorable mountain elevations and growing conditions contribute to the region’s expanding wine industry, which annually produces around 100 acres of a variety of European, French hybrid, and American wine grapes.
Each of our distinct winery venues offer tours, tastings, and impressive scenic views, as well as destination wedding facilities. Looking for a relaxing getaway or a romantic evening in the mountains? Plan to attend the many annual events, trails and festivals, exquisite dinners, and great live music offered at Dahlonega’s wineries throughout the year. The most celebrated and attended of these events is the annual Dahlonega Wine Trail Weekend; held every August, attendees can enjoy a weekend of leisure wine sampling at each of our participating wineries.

Downtown Tasting Rooms
Dahlonega’s locally owned and operated wineries and tasting rooms take immense pride in sharing their wines with hospitality, knowledge, and enthusiasm and are committed in representing Dahlonega-Lumpkin County as the “Wine Tasting Capital of Georgia” and the “Heart of Georgia’s Wine Country”. Our National Registered Historic Downtown District features seven downtown tasting rooms, each with its own unique flair.
Cavender Creek Vineyards and Winery is proud to be Dahlonega’s newest and smallest family farm winery. Only six years beyond planting the first vines, Cavender Creek gladly holds its wines up to the high standards of quality already established by the larger surrounding wineries.
The approximately 1400 cases produced per year are truly hand-crafted in a way afforded only by their limited production and attention to detail. The 15-acre property with 4 acres in vines produces mainly Petit Manseng, Cabernet Sauvignon and American Norton. You will find Cavender Creek Winery a great place to unwind and feel right at home.
Frogtown Cellars is a 57-acre vineyard and winery estate. By a wide margin, Frogtown is Georgia's most awarded winery in major U.S. Competions. Frogtown is home to over 22,000 grape vines on 42 acres, a tri-level gravity flow winery and a stunning cypress and timber-frame wine-tasting and event facility.
With a total of 25 different grape varieties, both red and white, Frogtown produces exclusively estate-grown wines under the Frogtown and Thirteenth Colony brand names. Frogtown Cellars is the destination winery for premium wines and event functions in the Northeast Georgia Mountains. Come experience the wine and hospitality that is Frogtown.
Kaya Vineyard and Winery is a rebirth of Blackstock Vineyards; located in Dahlonega, Georgia. Re-opened as Kaya in 2012, the winery’s future is exciting, with plans that include a 22-room hotel with restaurant, 15 craftsman cottages, and an event facility that can seat up to 300. This will make Kaya the largest winery resort north of Atlanta.
Kaya’s Winery and Tasting Room, located atop a ridge at 1,600 feet, offers one of the most exquisite panoramic mountain views in North Georgia. The Tasting Room features 12-foot windows, Edison light bulbs, and reclaimed wood, making Kaya a restful Appalachian Mountains retreat. Visitors can enjoy the cool summer breeze on a 2,000-square-foot covered deck, with live music.
All Kaya wines are made exclusively from estate grown grapes grown on the property. The vineyards are planted with classic European, Italian and American varietals.
Montaluce is a breathtaking destination that uses incredible wine, food, and events to create experiences you will want to have again and again. We feature a modern, 25,000 square-foot facility reminiscent of a grand Tuscan villa with sweeping views of our vineyards and the mountains beyond. When you are here you will feel the beauty of Tuscany, the experience of Sonoma, and the hospitality of the South. Whether is it for a fun day trip away from the city, a fairytale wedding, or anything in between, we cannot wait to see you soon. Reservations are recommended for our restaurant, but are not needed for wine tastings and daily free tours.
Three Sisters Vineyards is "Dahlonega's First Family Farm Winery" and Lumpkin County's founding wine grape grower. Each vintage production is 3500 - 4000 cases of 100% Georgia Grown estate wine. This beautiful 184 acre property hosts weddings, special events and is the annual home of the Georgia Wine Country Festival.
With a laid back and fun atmosphere, Three Sisters' Tasting Room welcomes wine and art lovers with a unique collection of Georgia and Southern folk art. Come relax on the Crush Pad Deck and Rock Wall Patio with a glass of wine at the place TurnerSouth named "Best Winery In The South."
With over 150 medals in Major US Competitions, including Georgia's First Ever Gold Medals at the prestigious San Fransisco Chronicle and Los Angeles International Wine Competitions and multiple Best of Category Awards, Wolf Mountain has established itself as a leader in fine wine production on the east coast.
These accolades, along with their combination of Traditional European and Southern Regional Cuisine, allow Wolf Mountain to provide Georgia's Premier Wine and Food Experience.
